This started out as the proof of concept for the All Access subscription program from Global Knowledge. This is the genesis of the IT rock star theme, the combination of two real life icons. Inspired by gig posters by artists Shepard Fairey, Tara McPherson and the Print Mafia who subverted unexpected pop icons into the rock band KISS makeup, I wanted to match technology visionaries like Steve Jobs or Bill Gates with rock icons like the late, great David Bowie. The final product was never approved for use by Microsoft but I can confirm the only copy was hung discreetly in their Research Triangle Park campus.
